The message “Error establishing a database connection” means that there is a problem with the connection to your database:
Check your database credentials, make sure that the database credentials in the wp-config.php file are correct.

• Database Name: Confirm the database name matches the one you created in phpMyAdmin.
• Database Username: For WAMP, the default is root.
• Database Password: The default password for root is empty ('').
• Database Host: Should be localhost.
