How does a non-developer do this?
I’ll argue that, as a non-developer, using a plugin has always been and remains the best approach. Sure, you could add the code directly in Classic themes’ files — but what would happen if you update the theme? You’d lose everything.
]]>I am not able to find much information on how to add js scripts in an FSE theme. I can add css in the “Additional CSS” section but where does one add js scripts? Are plugins like Code Snippets are the solution?
I read somewhere that one has to put the script in a Custom HTML block. But that would mean one has to ensure that this Custom HTML block should be added across all templates if one has to have this across multiple types of pages/posts. And some suggest against this approach. How does a non-developer do this?
Thanks.
]]>I’ve been receiving emails about my plugins daily, and it’s frustrating. I want to disable them, but can find no way to do so. I’ve tried to add some codes to the website, but it didn’t help.
Here is an example of the emails that I’ve been receiving: https://share.zight.com/E0uNkPlv
Just wondering if anyone knows how to do it. Please help if you do, thank you so much!
]]>thanks for your input. I am a non-developer so unfortunately going through the stackoverflow page isn’t going to provide me much. I can understand basic code but not to the extent to figure out things.
Gues the FSE touted as no-code website building isn’t without it’s fair share of gaps. Of course some solutions do need custom work I guess.
Well I might have to resort to keeping the Search block outisde the header template part and have to ensure that all page/post templates have this.
Thanks.
]]>Theoretically, this would make it possible:
.is-position-sticky:stuck .wp-block-search { display: none }
But I don’t think that works yet.
The only possibility for your wish would therefore be a JavaScript. See also: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25308823/targeting-positionsticky-elements-that-are-currently-in-a-stuck-state
